Out of the belief in the significance of Arabic language for non-native speakers, regarded as the language of Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, activities of a training course entitled “Speaking in Classical Arabic” began today for teachers of the Primary Islamic Missions Institute. Today’s lecture was given by Prof. Bahloul Ahmed Salem, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Damanhour. He explained the first component of the course, namely, “Language Skills for Children”.
The course aims to develop children's language abilities by identifying the main language skills, which are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course also aims to explain the appropriate methods of teaching students the speaking and writing skills of Classical Arabic. The rationale for such objective is that childhood is considered the fundamental stage on which all subsequent education stages are based.
