Dr. Nahla Al-Sa’idi, Grand Imam’s Advisor for International Students’ Affairs, Head of EDCAIS, received Mr. Youssef Ismail, Executive Director of Qirat University, and Professor Ismail Saeed, Mufti at Qirat University, and their accompanying delegation.
The meeting addressed boosting academic and cultural relations between Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif and Qirat University, Gujarat, and discussed the needs of its students who seek to study Arabic language and the moderate Azharite curriculum that falls in line with Al-Azhar’s tolerant mission.
Dr. Al-Sa’idi applauded the efforts of the Indian Qirat University and its keenness to teach the Arabic language in a way that qualifies the students to pursue their studies at Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif. She stressed the Grand Imam’s keenness to support all Islamic universities and institutions around the world, since they maintain the interests of Islam and Muslims, and work to teach the Arabic language.
For their part, the delegation appreciated the Grand Imam’s efforts in promoting Al-Azhar’s global message, supporting and encouraging foreign students. They asserted that Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif is a beacon of knowledge for the entire world.
