With deep sorrow, Al-Azhar continues to follow reports of the widespread destruction caused by the disaster, including the collapse of hundreds of residential buildings and high-rise towers. In this regard, Al-Azhar appeals to the international community and global humanitarian and relief organizations to expedite the provision of on-the-ground assistance and extend every possible form of support to rescue teams, enabling them to locate those trapped beneath the rubble and provide urgent shelter and humanitarian assistance to those displaced by the catastrophe.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif conveys its sincere condolences to the Government and people of Venezuela, as well as to the families of the victims, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the injured a swift and complete recovery, to bestow His mercy upon those who lost their lives, and to protect all humanity from every calamity and affliction.
