"Listen and Talk"... An AOCE-ERU Seminar on Boundaries of Freedom

On March 1st, 2023, Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) held an interactive symposium entitled ‘Freedom between Discipline and Chaos’ as part of the “Listen and Talk” series to build bridges of trust and dialogue with young people.
AOCE researchers discussed the concept of freedom and its types, indicating that   there are observable religious and societal boundaries of freedom. In addition, the researchers stressed that there is no such thing as absolute freedom or absolute restrictions.
Al-Azhar University Performing Arts Group gave performance about the significance of awareness and the impact of modern communications media on youth priorities and trends. Notably, the attendees were deeply impressed by the performance.
Moreover, the panel moderator conducted an open session for inquiries during which many professors and students asked questions and received answers on the limits of freedom and the path to streamline individual as well as collective freedoms.
