Al-Azhar Denounces Iranian Assaults on Civilian Infrastructure in Kuwait and Bahrain

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemns the Iranian attacks that targeted the brotherly nations of the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain and caused damage to several civilian and economic facilities in Kuwait. Al-Azhar reaffirms its categorical rejection of these assaults, which threaten civilian security and infringe upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait.

Furthermore, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif emphasizes that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the Gulf States, while further intensifying tensions in the region. Al-Azhar expresses its profound hope for reviving the spirit of Islamic fraternity, navigating out of this perilous crisis, adhering to the ceasefire agreement, and allowing wisdom, reason, and dialogue to prevail, placing the safety of innocent civilians above all other considerations.

Finally, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif prays to the Almighty to protect the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and all Arab and Islamic nations, to spare their peoples the horrors of conflicts and disputes, and to permanently bless them with security, stability, and peace.
