Gaza is Crying for Help

The figures and data emerging from the Gaza Strip reveal the scale of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe. Many children have died of starvation under a severe blockade that prevents the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid. The World Health Organization confirms that dozens of children are being taken to hospitals daily for treatment of acute malnutrition, while half of the hospitals in the Strip have ceased to operate. There is currently no functioning hospital in northern Gaza or Rafah.
The crisis is further exacerbated by the targeting of civilians by occupation forces as they attempt to access food aid, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and thousands of injured, amid a shameful international silence. This dire situation calls for immediate action to open safe humanitarian corridors and to provide urgent international protection for the people of Gaza.
