The Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) hails the ceasefire agreement that has put an end to the bloodshed of the Palestinian people. The Observatory prays to Allah, the Almighty, to make this point a true starting point for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, where Palestinian generations can enjoy safety and stability following many years of occupation, suffering and aggression.
The Observatory also emphasizes the need to capitalize on this agreement to open a new chapter and conclude decades of strife, urging the international community to engage proactively in the reconstruction of what had been destroyed and to provide all requisite assistance that would empower the Palestinian people to resume normal life and achieve their legitimate and rightful aspirations of establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
